Before the official announcement of Xolo Q1010, Another smartphone from Xolo named Xolo Q1100 has been listed on Xolo’s official webpage for Rs. 14,999. The phone boasts of Snapdragon 400 quad core and Android 4.3 jelly bean operating system.
The processor is similar in branding to that in Moto G. The Snapdragon 400 MSM 8228 chipset also comes with Cortex A7 based cores instead of Krait cores and has been designed to take on MT6589 series from MediaTek. 4 CPU cores are clocked at 1.4 GHz and the Adreno 305 GPU is clocked at 450 MHz.
The RAM is 1GB and the internal storage is 8 GB, something we like in this phone. The storage can be further extended to 32 GB using MicroSD support. On the software front, you will get Android 4.3 Jelly bean operating system, which is just one step short of Android KitKat.
The IPS LCD display is 5 inches in size and sports 720p HD resolution. The resolution will amount to pixel density of 294 pixels per inches. The 5 finger multi touch display also incorporates OGS technology which enhances your display experience by eliminating the air gap between touch and display, thus making it more responsive.
Apart from the 2 MP shooter at the front, Xolo Q1100 offers a 8 MP BSI 2 sensor at the back which is capable of 720p HD video recording. The Battery capacity is 2000 mAh, which will provide with 450 hours of standby time on 3G and 12.5 hours of talk time on 3g. The web browsing time is 4 hours on 3 G and 6 hours on WiFi. The battery charging time is 2.4 hours which is above average.
Overall, the main highlight of the phone is Snapdragon 400 Chipset, and other hardware is similar to what we have seen in other phones like Xolo Q1000 and Xolo Q1010. The initial Price tag is 14,999 which is well justified by the hardware on paper. The smartphone has been designed to stand against Moto G and will be a stronger contender after initial price cut.
