LG has teased the upcoming LG G2 Mini smartphone on its Facebook page and the teaser makes it abundantly clear that LG G2 Mini will be presented at MWC 2014 in Barcelona alongside company’s new flagship phone, LG G Pro 2.
The LG G2 Mini is not expected to feature same top end specs as we saw in Sony’s Mini Variant, Xperia Z1 Compact. The phone is expected to drive its power from 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 chipset, similar to what we have seen in Moto G and Samsung Galaxy Grand 2.
Other chipset arsenal includes Adreno 305 GPU and 2 GB RAM. According to previous leaks, the display will be 4.3 Inch to 4.5 inch in size and will feature qHD resolution. It will also feature latest Android 4.4 KitKat flavor.
New info is that LG will also provide Rear key in the mini variant as well. We fist experienced the rear key in LG G2 and since then LG has included it in other high end devices like LG G Flex and LG G Pro 2. The rear key is the power and volume rocker placed at the back, right below the camera sensor where your Index finger naturaly lies. Old habits die hard and it takes some getting used to before you can appreciate it.We will have to lay our hands on the device to know how well this actually works out on a smaller form factor. We will be present at the MWC 2014 and cover the launch of this mini variant live from the event. Stay tuned!
