Sony Xperia T2 Ultra phablet which surfaced last month along with Xperia E is now available for purchase on online retailer Saholic for Rs. 32,000. The 6 Inch display phablet does seem over priced considering the raw hardware specifications it offers.
The 6 inch HD display sports 720p HD resolution similar to most other mid range phablets. The display also lists various fancy terms which Sony likes to attach with its display like TRILUMINOUS and Bravia Engine 2.
The phone is powered by 1.4 GHz quad core chipset with Snapdragon 400 branding. The processor is similar to what we have seen in Moto G and Xolo Q1100. Other members on board include 1 GB RAM, Adreno 305 GPU and 8 GB storage. Sony is also offering MicroSD support up to 32 GB.
The phone runs on Android 4.3 operating system and features a 13 MP rear camera paired with LED flash. The front 1.1 MP camera is capable of HD video chat. Primary camera features include 1080p video recording, 16 x digital zoom, sweep panorama and white balance adjustment.
Sony claims that the 3000 mAh battery in Xperia T2 Ultra will provide you 10 hours of video playback, 43 days of standby time and 24 hours of talk time on 3G, which if true, is impressive considering the display size. The version selling on Saholic is the Single SIM variant.
Main Competitors include Nokia Lumia 1320, HP Slate 6 and Intex Aqua Octa. The imaging hardware is most prominent feature which makes it stand apart from the crowd on paper.
