The chipset has a 64-bit CPU with an on-board modem capable of 150b/s download on LTE networks.

On the processing front, the SoC has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor based on ARMS’s latest A53 architecture. The chipset also boasts a Mali T670 GPU to take care of your high end graphics, along with support for Open GL ES 3.0 and Open CL 1.2 APIs.

The MT6732 also boasts support for low-power 1080p video playback and H.265 and H.264 codecs, to have your video playback covered. On the imaging side of things, the MT6732 features 13MP at max.

What’s interesting is that the MT6732 comes with support for not only LTE, but also HSPA+ (42Mbps) alongside TD-SCDMA to have most markets, including China, covered. In addition, the MT6732 comes with support for 2.4GHz+5GHz WiFi and Bluetooth.

Availability of the quad-core A53 MediaTek MT6732 is expected to begin in the third quarter this year, after which consumers can expect to see devices based on the chipset being available commercially.
