Micromax Canvas Knight is making waves throughout Indian smartphone market and the glory is well deserved considering the powerful Hardware that it offers for a competitive price of Rs. 19,999. The Micromax Canvas Knight is in fact rebranded Wiko Highway, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Wiko Mobiles is third largest smartphone maker in France and is majority owned by a Chinese company Tinno. Wiko Highway recently started retailing in France (After Micromax launched it in Russia) and is exactly similar to Micromax Canvas Knight in terms of body design and specifications.
Wiko Highway includes the same 5 inch IPS LCD display protected by corning gorilla glass 2 and is powered by 2 GHz MT6592 Octa core with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB on board storage. The battery capacity is same 2350 mAh.
The imaging hardware is same 16 MP/ 8 MP as in Canvas Knight. You will see the same OmniVision BSI sensor inside aided by exactly same software including cinemagraph, object eraser, etc.
Additionaly, this also confirms that Canvas Knight is 7.7 mm thick and weighs 154 grams. Canvas 4 was also touted to be a rebranded Blu Life One, so this info is not totally unexpected or surprising. It’s not a bad thing either , it only means that there often exists “something like anything” with Micromax.
