Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom pops up on benchmark with 19 MP camera

Samsung is known for its successive iterations of flagship devices and other models. Following the same lines, the South Korean tech titan is all geared up to unveil the Galaxy S5 within a month’s time. While there is not much information about the upcoming camera phone, the latest reports suggest that the spin-off to Galaxy S4 Zoom will include a 19 MP camera.

As per GFXBench, the yet to be confirmed Galaxy S5 Zoom’s key specifications have been let out pointing that the device will be wearing a similar cloth as its predecessor. It is believed that the 19 MP camera sensor will include a substantial optical zoom than the one in the previous model. On the front, it is revealed that there will be a 2 MP front facer with 1080p video recording.

When it comes to the other specifications, the Galaxy S5 Zoom is said to include a 4.8 inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, which is smaller than the 5.1 inch Full HD panel in the Galaxy S5. The device is tipped to be fueled with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and benefit from 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded with the help of a micro SD card slot.

Of course, Samsung is yet to announce the Galaxy S5 variations, but there are wide spread speculations that the manufacturer will announce as Mini and Zoom in 2014. However, no official word has surfaced regarding when it will see the realms of reality, while the Galaxy S5 flagship model is all set to be released on April 11.
