Micromax has introduced Micromax Canvas Juice A177 in Indian market. Sounds familiar? That’s because Micromax launched Micromax Canvas Juice A77 few months back with same hardware and body design. Nevertheless, the phone is a reality and is already listed on Micromax official webpage.
The only conspicuous difference between the two is in clock frequency of the processor. The Micromax Canvas Juice A77 was listed to have 1.3 GHz MT6572 processor, whereas the new Canvas Juice A177 has the same chipset ticking at 1.2 GHz. The RAM and Internal storage remain same at 1 GB and 4 GB respectively.
The display is 5 inches in size and bears FWVGA 480 x 854 pixel resolution. The software is Android 4.2.2 jelly bean which is perhaps a slight upgrade over Canvas Juice A77 which comes with Android 4.2 jelly bean.
Apart from the VGA front camera, a 5 MP auto focus shooter is present at the rear for basic photography. The camera is also equipped with Flash for low light photography.
The signature battery capacity remains same at 3000 mAh with similar standby time of 282 hours and similar talk time of 10 hours. Connectivity features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS and 3G. The phone is retailing on ebay for Rs. 8,490, which is more than what you need to pay for Canvas Juice A77.
