Not many smartphones are offering 1 GB RAM under 8K INR and Xolo is highlighting the same with its new entrant, Xolo A510S listed at 7,499 INR on its official webpage. All other specifications are standard dual core similar to popular phones Xolo A500S IPS and Xolo A500S.
The processor employed is 1.3 GHz Dual Core Cortex A7 based unit housed in MT6572 SoC. Apart from 1 GB RAM you will get 4 GB internal storage which can be further extended to 32 GB using MicroSD support. Double amount of RAM will definitely enhance multitasking and overall performance for basic usage.
The display is 4 inches in Size and bears FWVGA 854 X 480 pixel resolution which amounts to pretty usable 245 pixels per inches. The display tech used is IPS LCD display, which will ensure wide viewing angles and enhanced brightness.
The phone is approximately 9 mm thick and sports a metallic finish according to Xolo. The camera is the same 5 MP shooter at the back and VGA unit at the front. In our time with Xolo A500, we found the performance to be strictly ok in low light and full light conditions. The camera can record 720p HD videos. Most probably Xolo will be using the same camera module in this phone as well.
The battery capacity is 1400 mAh and is expected to last one day with moderate usage. Connectivity features include WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and AGPS support. The phone is an upgrade over previous A-series phones and will cost you just 1K extra, which also makes it a value for money device and a welcome change in the Xolo A series.
