Domestic player Maxx Mobiles has announced Maxx MSD7 3G (AX46), an entry level smartphone priced at Rs. 8,888. The spec sheet is mostly what you would expect in most other dual core budget Android smartphones and thus the asking price seems high. image

The display is 4.5 Inches in size with unspecified resolution. Maxx Mobiles is using an IPS LCD display panel for wider viewing angles. Software is Android 4.2 jelly bean which is common in this price range.

MSD7 3G is powered by 1.3 GHz dual core MT6572wi chipset from MediaTek. The Chipset also houses 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. You could expand the storage by another 32 GB using MicroSD support.

Other features include Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, GPS, Dual SIM connectivity and 3.2 MP rear Camera. No word on battery or availability yet. The phone has fairly basic specs and we expect the best buy price to be significantly lesser than the MRP value.
