Gionee has made a name for itself and earned global recognition in very short time duration. The Chinese manufacturer has played its card right by launching phone with “World’s most sensitive Camera” Gionee Elife E7 and also the “world’s Slimmest phone” Gionee Elife S5.5.
Gionee In an interview with GadgetsToUse, Gionee president, William Lu, mentioned that the Chinese manufacturer is planning to launch a Wearable device and a flexible display smartphone in India sometime in Q4, 2014.
2014 has been the year of smartwatches and we are eagerly awaiting Moto 360 and LG G watch, based on Android Wear, which will be delight for Google Now users. Gionee’s Smartwatch might bring all these features to Indian consumers at an affordable price, which most people expect on these things.
We also hope that unlike smartwatches like Galaxy Gear and Gear 2, this one will be compatible with all Android devices. The Curved display smartphone seems to be another global recognition card from Gionee.
We saw LG G Flex with curved display launched in India some time back, and though we weren’t really convinced with the advantages of large display, the massive price tag clearly implied that there’s still some time before we get flexible displays meant for masses. Let’s wait and watch if Gionee adds more value to its Flexible display smartphone. We will update this article with the video interview soon.
