Nokia X, the first Android smartphone launched by Nokia was released in India for Rs 8,599. Now, it appears like the vendor is planning to push the sales of this smarphone to new heights by cutting its price slightly. Well, the online retailer Flipkart has listed the Nokia X smartphone for a discounted price of Rs 7,027.
Available in a slew of vibrant color options such as White, Black, Red, Yellow, Cyan and Green, the Nokia X is fitted with a 4 inch WVGA IPS LCD display boasting a screen resolution of 480×800 pixels. It is stuffed with a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play processor paired with a mere 512 MB of RAM.
To meet the storage requirements, the Nokia X includes 4 GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Also, the handset includes a 3 MP camera at the rear for basic photography. However, it lacks a front-facing snapper that can allow users to make video calls.
The dual SIM Nokia X packs connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS with A-GPS to let the users stay connected on to go. Also, there is a 1,500 mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 13.3 hours of talk time on 2G and 10.5 hours of talk time on 3G. It is also claimed to last for up to 14 days of standby time.
Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the handset comes with free data offers from Airtel delivering 500 MB of free data for 3 months.
