After initial teasing on Facebook, Intex has officially launched a fascinating Qwerty keypad smartphone, Aqua Qwerty priced at Rs. 4,990. The display is 3.5 inches in size and sports only HVGA resolution. The software is Android 4.2.2 jelly bean operating system which will provide you the advantage of vast application ecosystem and all the freedom which comes with it.
Intex Aqua Qwerty is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core chipset coupled with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. Like always, you can expand this by another 32 GB of microSD card secondary storage. According to Intex market research over one fifth of Indian Smartphone users desire a Qwerty keypad smartphone. Similar approach was earlier unsuccessfully attempted by Samsung and HTC. What is different is that Intex is targeting the budget android price range.
