Android Kitkat now enjoys over 8.5 percent share among all Androids and the latest Android OS is now available on popular Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in India as well. The OTA update started rolling out globally last week and is now available for Indian users as well.
The Note 2 is still selling with Android 4.1 jelly bean out of the box in India. The latest firmware update, N7100XXUFND3, will bring Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and associated features like immersive mode, printer support, options to select default SMS app, some changes in settings and lockscreen along with expected performance boost.
Samsung is not expected to include Samsung Wallet in India with this new update, although we are expecting to see Knox. The update is 416 MB in size approximately and you will get an update notification .
To manually look for updates , you can go in Settings>> About Phone>> Software update. If you haven’t received update notification yet and can’t find any new update manually, it’s just a matter of time. With Touch Wiz UI on top, you won’t see some drastic changes, but it’s always recommended to keep your software up to date.
