Moto E will have a 4.3 inch display with qHD resolution. That’s one forth of pixels compared to Moto G display but still quite decent with 256 pixels per inches. The display will also be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and splash resistant coating. (Not yet confirmed if it’s Gorilla Glass 3)

The chipset used is 1.2 GHz Dual core chipset, which is most likely a Qualcomm Snapdragon unit. What differentiates it from other Tier one manufacturer smartphones and even most domestic branded devices, is 1 GB RAM. This will certainly enhance your Android experience. The internal storage is however only 4 GB, Extendable via microSD support.

Software is latest Android 4.4 KitKat as expected. Leaked marketing material also guarantees software updates. The imaging hardware is fairly elementary with only a 5 MP basic camera at the rear (Without LED flash) capable of 480p video recording. There is no front camera in this smartphone either. Leaked renders show swappable back cover in different colors as well. Also, speakers have been moved to the front for clear audio.

Contrary to what was reported earlier, Moto E is 12.3 mm thick (not 6mm . The battery capacity is 1980 mAh which sounds pretty good. For further consolation, Motorola claims full day 24 hours of battery life with moderate usage. Overall, the smartphone packs value for money features, with underwhelming imaging hardware. We will be present on the ground when Motorola officially presents Moto E on 13th May 2014. Stay tuned!
