Lately, Huawei was in the headlines for the launch of Ascend P7 and now, the company has once again appeared in news for the launch of mid-range Honor 3C priced at Rs 14,999. The handset is yet to go on sale in India, but from the specs it appears to be worthy enough to compete with the other mid-range smartphones. Now, here is a quick review on the Honor 3C purely based on its spec sheet.
Camera and Internal Storage
The Honor 3C features an 8 MP primary camera at its rear teamed up with LED flash, auto focus, FHD 1080p video recording, BSI sensor and f/2.0 aperture. Along with this rear snapper, there is a front-facing 5 MP shooter on the handset that comes with 22 mm wide angle lens. This front-facer can definitely result in attractive selfies and excellent quality video calling.
When it comes to storage space, the handset bundles 8 GB of native storage that can further be expanded with the help of a micro SD card. For those who feel 8 GB of storage is not sufficient to store the operating system, default software and installed applications, the micro SD card slot is a welcome addition. Though the limit of the expandable storage support is specified, it is believed to be 32 GB that is standard among the mid-rangers.
Processor and Battery
On the processing side, the Huawei Honor 3C comes with a MediaTek MT6582 SoC that houses a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, Mali-400 MP2 graphics unit and 2 GB of RAM taking control of the multi-tasking department. These figures on the Huawei offering are on par with the other phones in this price bracket.
A 2,300 mAh battery is housed under the hood of the Huawei Honor 3C, but the vendor has not disclosed the backup that this battery can deliver. However, it is believed to offer a decent backup making it acceptable.
Display and Features
The Honor 3C is fitted with a 5 inch display packing HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels translating to a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch that is above average as far as the mid-range smartphones are concerned. This display is pretty much sufficient to deliver crisp and sharp content on the screen.
Running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the Huawei smartphone packs connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G to assist the users to stay connected on the go.
Comparison
Analyzing the specs and price range of the Huawei Honor 3C, it can be said that the handset can be compete with Motorola Moto G, Nokia Lumia 930, Sony Xperia M and Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro.
