At the Moto E launch event, a Moto G executive confirmed to GadgetsToUse that Moto 360 will be available in India by August end 2014. Moto 360 will be Motorola’s first smartwatch and will be retailed in India via Flipkart similar to all other Motorola devices.

Earlier this year Google presented Android Wear to shape the future of upcoming smartwatches and Moto 360 has ever since been the poster boy of Android wear. What primarily differentiates it from other smartwatches, is its aesthetic beauty.

None of the smartwatches today can be deemed to be perfect and perhaps Motorola can provide one for optimum price tag. We don’t know much about the features of the upcoming Android wear smartwatch yet, but it will celebrate Google Now, Google’s intelligent personal assistant, and all the predictive features that come along.

Rumors also suggest Saphire glass protection, OLED display to save power consumption and wireless charging. Motorola has hinted towards long battery backups on Moto 360. If all these features are indeed present on Moto 360, it won’t be inexpensive.

It’s very likely that Android Wear will enjoy similar adaption rate as Android among smartwatches and we will have a huge community support, opening all kinds of possibilities. The pricing is expected to be in line with the nexus devices and its indeed good news that Indian users won’t have to wait too long to lay their hands on Moto 360.
