India based Intex launched the Aqua i5 HD on Thursday creating a buzz in the market. Now, it is claimed that the vendor will roll out the Aqua i5 mini soon as the handset has been listed on the official website. It appears to be a dual SIM phone with mid-range specifications and there is no word on its pricing and availability.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Aqua i5 mini is given a 5 inch FWVGA IPS capacitive touch screen display that packs a resolution of 480×854 pixels and stuffed with a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz and a Mali 400 graphics unit.
The camera set on the handset includes an 8 MP primary camera with auto focus, flash, panorama and HDR shooting modes and a 2 MP front-facer for making video calls. Also on board is 4 GB of internal storage space of which only 1.69 GB is accessible to the users, however there is a micro SD card slot that supports up to 32 GB of expandable storage.
Connectivity is handled by aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro USB and there is 1 GB of RAM on the Aqua i5 mini for multi-tasking. The battery capacity of the phone is 1,500 mAh and it is rated to pump up to 4 to 5 hours of talk time and up to 180 hours of standby time.
As mentioned above, we still have no word on the pricing or the release date of the handset. But it is believed that the Intex Aqua i5 mini will be priced in the sub Rs 8,000 price bracket.
