Moto E (Full Review)launched last week is a big threat to Domestic manufacturers, and Indian juggernaut, Micromax is not taking this intrusion in its turf lightly. Micromax has acted promptly and launched Micromax Unite 2 – its first Android 4.4 Kitkat smartphone and world’s first phone with support for 21 languages, for the Moto E price of 6,999 INR!
The display is bigger with 4.7 inches of display size and features not so impressive WVGA 800 X 480 pixel resolution. The IPS LCD BrightGraph display will provide with good viewing angles and will appeal to those who won’t mind increase in display size at the expense of sharpness.
The chipset is also quite impressive at this price range. Micromax Unite 2 is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad core processor (Most likely MT6582) with 1 GB RAM support and 4 GB native storage. MicroSD card support is also present up to 32 GB.
The dual SIM smartphone features a 5 MP Autofocus camera at the rear and a 2 MP front facing camera for those interested in video calling. As mentioned, the phone is loaded with Android 4.4.2 kitkat and Micromax has also guaranteed at-least one FOTA update.
The battery capacity is 2000 mAh which is again sounds more than decent in this price range. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3G HSPA+ and GPS. Micromax Unite 2 also comes with Mad App preinstalled on it which allows users to watch adds to earn points and money.
Micromax Unite 2 has aggression towards Moto E painted all over it. Micromax has matched the hardware specifications of global giant Motorola, but will it be able to provide similar Aftersales support and user experience?
