The Philips Xenium W6610 features a massive 5300 mAh battery which will provide you with web-browsing time of 16 hours and talk time of 33 hours. The backup is certainly very high but we would have expected more from a 5300 mAh battery.
The W6610 sports a 5 inch qHD IPS LCD display (220 ppi) and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor backed by 1 GB RAM. The internal storage is 4GB and can be further expanded by 32 GB using MicroSD card support. You will get a primary 8 MP camera at the back and a 2 MP front camera. The phone is strictly meant for those looking for a lasting battery backup and other specifications aren’t impressive at this price range. Philips W6610 has been priced at 20,650.
Philips W3500 is the next quad core phone priced at 19,195 INR. This phone boasts of a 5 inch display with only FWVGA 854 x 480 pixel resolution. The 1.3 GHz quad core chipset under the hood is backed by 1 GB RAM. Imaging hardware is fairly basic with 5 MP rear camera capable of 480 p video recording. There is a 2 MP shooter at the front for those interested in Video calling. The W3500 also features dual SIM support.
Philips S308 on the other hand features 4-inch WVGA display, 1GHz dual-core chipset, 512MB of RAM and 4GB expandable memory. Other features include 5 MP rear camera, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and AGPS. All of the three smartphones are powered by Android 4.2 jelly bean.

In the fiercely competitive Indian smartphone market, Philips hasn’t kept the price right. For the same price there are several better alternatives available from domestic and tier one manufacturers. We are expecting the best buy prices to be lower than the launch prices. Phillips also talked about L928 with with 1.7 GHz octa core chipset, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front Camera and 2.5D curved glass screen, all packed in a 7.9 mm thin design with leather like back cover.
