Toshiba Excite Go with Intel Atom CPU and Android KitKat Launched at $100

Toshiba has announced the launch of a budget Android tablet dubbed Toshiba Excite Go priced at $110 (approx. Rs 6,500). It is claimed that this tablet will be going on sale in US starting from July, but there is no word regarding its global availability and pricing information. Whatever it is, this tablet is definitely one of the most affordable Android offering from the firm.

Talking about the specifications, the Toshiba Excite Go is fitted with a 7 inch display that packs a resolution of 1024×600 pixels and is fueled by the latest iteration of Android – v4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. Powering the device is a quad-core Intel Atom processor that can deliver decent performance.

While the Toshiba Excite Go packs 16 GB of onboard storage capacity that can be expanded up to 128 GB with the help of a micro SDXC card. Though the battery capacity of the slate remains undisclosed, it is stated to pump in up to 8 hours of general use and up to 6.5 hours of video playback.

At this point of time, the other specifications of the Toshiba Excite Go remain unknown, but it can be said that the slate will be launched in other markets in the coming months. Furthermore, if this tablet is announced in India it will definitely compete with the other budget Android tablets offerings from the various India based vendors.
