Earlier this month, India based Intex announced the launch of Aqua i5 HD and it was tipped that the vendor will be announcing the Aqua i5 Mini soon. The handset was listed on the official Intex website with mid-range specifications, but there was no word regarding the pricing and availability of the same.
Going by the reports, Intex has taken the wraps off the Aqua i5 Mini beating a price tag of Rs 6,850. From the pricing, it is clear that the handset is aimed at the price conscious consumers. The highlight of the Intex Aqua i5 Mini is its advanced user interface that allows users to access the phone features by clicking on the related theme. This theme based UI is accompanied by other features such as Flip to Mute and Gesture Control.
As for the specifications, the Intex Aqua i5 Mini flaunts of a 4.5 inch IPS display packing a FWVGA screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The handset is stuffed with a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor supplemented by Mali 400 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. The imaging capabilities of the handset include 8 MP primary snapper with auto focus and flash and a 2 MP camera at the front for making video calls.
The storage requirements are met by 4 GB of internal storage space that can be further expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. For those who feel this storage capacity is too low, there is additional 5 GB of cloud storage space as well. Based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, the Aqua i5 Mini has connectivity aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Blueooth, GPS and dual SIM functionality. Furthermore, there is a 1,500 mAh battery under the hood, but the backup delivered by the same remains unknown.
