Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 with 1 GB of RAM Available for 8,778 INR

Leading India based tech manufacturer Micromax announced the launch of the highly gossiped smartphone dubbed Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 in April for Rs 8,500. But, the handset failed to receive enough acclaims from the consumers due to its low-end specifications for its price.

Now, e-commerce portal Flipkart has listed a variant of the Canvas Doodle 3 for a price of Rs 8,778.  We say it a variant as this particular model comes with 1 GB of RAM instead of the low 512 MB of RAM in the previous model, which is the main reason for its failure.

The other specifications in the 1 GB variant of the Canvas Doodle 3 remain intact and the device is fitted with a gigantic 6 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display boasting a FWVGA screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Under its hood is a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor paired and a 2,500 mAh battery capable of pumping in up to 9 hours of talk time and 260 hours of standby time.

Fueled by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 packs a standard 4 GB of onboard storage space that can be expanded externally up to 32 GB via a micro SD card. A camera set comprising of a 5 MP primary snapper with auto focus, LED flash, HD 720p video recording and a VGA front-facing camera is present on the phone. Also, there are connectivity aspects such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS and 3G for the users to stay connected on the go.

With the Moto E rocking the entry-level smartphone segment with a price tag of Rs 6,999, the launch of the 1 GB variant of Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 will surely be a stiff competitor to the same.
