Google just talked about Android Wear platform for Smartwatches. The smartwatch platform relies heavily on Google Now and that is not a bad thing. The demo basically showcased the power of Google now multiplied when its easily accessible on your smartwatch.
You can easily schedule your reminders, look up word meanings, get acquainted with places near you and lot more. With Seamless sync between your Smartwatch and Mobile, you can swipe off notification from your watch, which also get swiped off from your phone. You can save notes to your phone, reject calls and do a lot more.
We particularly liked the do not disturb option which you can trigger from you Android wear watch. Being an avid user of Google Now, I would definitely like to own an Android Wear smartwatch.
The LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live will be available to order today on playstore. Moto 360 which looked miles ahead of LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live will be available later this summer. Google didn’t reveal the price but we will get to see the price of Gear Live and LG G Watch in the next few hours.
Google will also make full SDK available for developers to enable them to write cool native apps for smartwatches. Google also promised several other smartwatches in the pipeline apart from the above mentioned Trio.
