Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet Gets Listed Online for 49,990 INR Prior to Official Release

At the MWC 2014, Japanese tech giant unleashed the Xperia Z2 Tablet that is the successor of the Xperia Tablet Z1 launched last year. The current generation model is available in India via the online retailer Infibeam for a price of Rs 49,990, while its official launch is still pending. In addition, the tablet is also listed on the official Sony India website tipping that the launch is imminent.

At this point of time, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is the thinnest tablet in the Indian market measuring 6.4 mm in thickness that is thinner than the Galaxy Tab S lineup. The device boasts a 10.1 inch Triluminous display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 carrying a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels.  Powering the device is a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset that is supplemented with Adreno 330 GPU and 3 GB of RAM for multi-tasking.

Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat OS, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet packs an 8 MP Exmor R primary camera that is accompanied with a 2.2 MP front-facer for making video calls. Both these camera units are capable of capturing FHD 1080p videos with high details. Furthermore, there is 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

Connectivity wise, the device packs features such as 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, MHL, NFC and GPS. There is a 6,000 mAh battery onboard that can pump in enough juice to the device.
