Asus Zenfone 5 Hits Retail Shelves in India Starting From 9,999 INR

As assured, Asus has released the Zenfone 5 smartphone in India today starting from Rs 9,999. The handset is available in two configurations – 8 GB and 16 GB of internal storage capacities that are priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 10,999 respectively. The device will be available in a slew of color options such as Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, Twilight Purple and Champagne Gold.


To recap on the specifications of the Asus Zenfone 5, the handset arrives with a 5 inch display that packs HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and it is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the handset from within is a 2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor that is supplemented by 2 GB of RAM.

Upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat, the device runs on v4.3 Jelly Bean for now and it is topped with the Zen UI. The handset features an 8 MP rear snapper with LED Flash for improved low light performance and FHD 1080p video recording along with a 2 MP front-facing shooter for making HD 720p video calls and clicking selfies.

Other goodies of the Asus Zenfone 5 include expandable storage up to 64 GB, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 2,110 mAh battery. Asus Zenfone 5 sounds like a great Moto G challenger you can get at lower price, at slightly higher price, Xiaomi Mi3 is standing tall.
