Xiaomi Mi Power Bank with 10,400 mAh Capacity Available Online for 1,446 INR

Update: 19-7-2014 Snapdeal has changed the pricing of the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank to Rs 5,495 and it is currently out-of-stock.

Earlier this week, Xiaomi sizzled the Indian smartphone market with the launch of a slew of devices including the Mi3, Redmi Note and Redmi 1S starting from Rs 6,999. Now, the China based vendor is planning to announce an impressive accessory – Mi Power Bank. While the pricing of the power bank remains unknown, it arrives in two variants – 5,200 mAh and 10,400 mAh capacities.

Before Xiaomi could officially launch the Mi Power Bank in India, the one with the larger capacity of 10,400 mAh has been listed by online retailer Snapdeal for a price tag of Rs 1,446.

The power bank makes use of rechargeable Li-ion battery cells from LG and Samsung and this can charge the Xiaomi Mi3 for 2.5 times, iPhone 5s for 4.5 times and iPad mini for 1.5 times. Also, the power bank is designed with safety, efficiency and protection and hence it features cell protection, short protection and thermal protection during charge and discharge states.


Mi Power Bank is capable of automatically adjusting the output level based on the connected device. Consequently, users can easily charge smartphones and tablets from different brands such as Mi, Apple, Samsung, HTC, Google and BlackBerry and also other devices such as digital cameras and handheld gaming devices using this power bank.

The Mi Power Bank weighs about 250 grams and it can be fully charged in about 5.5 hours and has a LED indicator, power button, micro USB port and standard USB port.
