Build Quality, Design and Form Factor

LG G3 has much better build quality and material being used as compared to the older generation G2. It has got a brushed metal finish back cover which makes it looks premium and also battery can be removed as back cover can be separated from the device. The design has remained same as we have seen on G2 but has got some nice improvements. The form factor of this phablet phone will make you feel great as even when its 5.5 inch display phone its still easy enough to hold in hands and does not feel heavy as well at 149 grams.

Camera Performance

The rear 13 MP autofocus camera is a faster, has a lot more options to take great photos under different light conditions and camera UI has easy and pro modes to be used. It will give you great photos in daylight and shots we took in low light also came out nice in terms of colors and details. The front camera is 2.1 MP which can take decent selfie with beautification options and can also do HD video chat or call.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

It has 1440 x 2560 pixels, 5.5 inches Quad HD display which is one of the most sharp and crisp display. It gives great viewing angles and great level of color reproduction. You cannot see the pixels on this display with naked eyes and sunlight visibility is also good. In built memory of the device is 16Gb out of which around 10 Gb is available to the user on which you can install apps and store pictures videos and other data. You cannot install apps on the SD card but you do have Micro SD card slot on the back side the phone above the MicroSIM slot. The battery backup gets affected with high resolution display and its can give you around 1 day of backup with moderate usage and some times more than 1 day as well.

Software, Benchmarks and Gaming

The software UI is custom LG UI which has become more flat and simple in looks and colors. UI is responsive and faster to use and does not cause stress on eyes unlike the old flashy icons we have seen before. You can play any HD games on this device without any lag or graphic glitch provided you have storage for the same. We played games like MC4, Frontline Commando D Day and Blood and Glory and all these games played well without any issue.

  • Multi Touch:  10 points

LG G3 Benchmark and Gaming Review [Video]

Sound, Video and Navigation

One thing which I did not liked much was the average volume loudspeaker which is good but not the best and loudness is not too high. It can play any HD video at 720p or 1080p without any graphic lag or audio sync issues. You can use LG G3 for GPS navigation and it can work perfectly fine without any issues.

What We Liked

  • Great display
  • Amazing form factor
  • Nice Build Quality

What We Did Not Liked

  • Low Volume Loudspeaker
  • Average Battery Backup

Conclusion and Price

LG G3 has been launched for Rs. 47999 and it comes as a package of great hardware and software bundled together. It’s a great choice for some one looking to buy a premium phone in terms of the looks and performance. The only thing we would see improve on this device is battery backup which should get better after a software patch and rest all its is already good on this phone.
