In order to grab a significant share of the market, BlackBerry appears to be focusing on QWERTY keyboard fans instead of relying on the touch screen devices that are available in surplus. Well, the Canadian firm has slashed the pricing of a range of QWERTY smartphones such as BlackBerry Q5, BlackBerry 9720 and BlackBerry Curve 9320 from Rs 24,990, Rs 15,990 and Rs 15,990 to Rs 13,990, Rs 11,990 and Rs 9,900 respectively.
Commenting about the price cut, Sameer Bhatia, Director, Distribution, BlackBerry, India, said, “The classic BlackBerry Keyboard, re-engineered for the fast efficient navigation and one-handed use, has huge fan base who swear by the distinct typing experience that BlackBerry offers. These compelling price-points will enable QWERTY fans to experience the latest technology and ease of use in one device.”
This is not the first time that BlackBerryhas slashed the pricing of its offerings in the country as the vendor has already taken such steps in the recent months. Lately, it was the BlackBerry Z30 to receive a price cut from Rs 39,990 to Rs 34,990 on a temporary basis.
