Update 29-7-2014 : Xiaomi has stated that the phone went out of stock within 5 seconds only.

Xiaomi Mi3 is undoubtedly one of the best smartphones under 15k, which you can cannot buy in India today. The phone was supposed to go on sale at 2 PM in India today and now Xiaomi Fan’s are outraged as it went out of stock only within next couple of Minutes! This is gravely less than last time when the sale lasted 40 minutes.

We don’t know yet how much stock was present to begin with, but fan’s will have to wait another week to even consider reordering. Undoubtedly there will be some heavy fan lashing on Mi India’s facebook page today (already started) as disappointed fans will have to resort to other smartphones in this price range.

Some users are complaining that Flipkart started showing their account as unregistered as soon as the sale started, while others haven’t been so subtle in expressing their rage.

The well known Xiaomi Mi3 brings 2.3 GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 800 beast to a very affordable price range. The chipset includes Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage to give you great user experience. Storage is however not expandable. The display is 5 Inches in size with full HD resolution powered by a 3050 mAh battery. Head on to Xiaomi Mi3 full review for better perspective.

  1. Clicked on the ‘Buy Now’ button as soon as it appeared after
the countdown concluded and Flipkart had the gall to present me with the
message, “Sorry, you haven’t registered!” (despite being registered
from when the first batch went on sale and Flipkart sending me a
reminder e-mail and SMS earlier in the day). Exited out of that tab and
tried again, not 20 seconds later, and the page stated: ‘Out of stock!
Today’s Mi3 sale is now over’. FYI: Had logged into Flipkart a full 4
hours before it was scheduled to go on sale at 14:00 Hrs.

  2. It is my request to Gadgets To Use to stop misinforming readers. It was 5 seconds as validated by Mi India facebook account and not 2 minutes. Deepak, if you’re not sure, use the timer on your savvy gadgets beside your brain and stop misinforming. Do not make up facts!

    • Xiaomi’s 5 second confirmation came after this article was published and we did put an update later at the top.
We will take more care in future

  3. I knew that, just like Moto E, it is happening again with this mobile phone. Now again this time it is listed only on Flipkart, why not listed some other top online store like Amazon and Snapdeal.com.So that customers have option to buy this phone easily from here also.

    • Xiaomi only brings 10,000 units on each sales day and in this case even if it were listed on more stores, it wouldn’t make any difference

  4. Flipkart is just creating hype for their product for publicity there is no way all the phone sold out in 5 seconds. Also Mi3 available on flipkart is nothing but a degraded version of the real one. Also one important thing is that if they are not able to fulfill the demand by customers who want to buy new phone then how can they are gonna provide service in their service centers which are not more than 20 I think. Conclusion is that Mi3 is nothing but a chinese crap which is going to be dumped in indian market.
