Over the weekend, HTC has started rolling out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the One M8 units available in India. The update brings several enhancements to the user interface and performance with the most highlighted one being the support for 4G LTE networks. Also, it adds some bug fixes to the Open SSL vulnerabilities as well.
According to XDA Developers, a Mumbai based user with the username ‘n1234d’ has posted a screenshot of the changelog after the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update on HTC One M8. According to this changelog, the update not only brings the aforementioned changes, but improvements to the native Gallery, Camera and HTC Sync Manager along with some tweaks to the power usage history in the Settings app.
Going by the image, there are enhancements for wireless networks including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and mobile networks along with improvements to the Sense UI, It is also claimed that the update will bring about bug fixes to the LED notification light and BoomSound speaker.
The Android 4.4.3 KitKat update measures 658 MB and it is rolled out as an OTA update. Users of the HTC One M8 can check for the update manually by going to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update.
