Ahead of the official announcement of the Moto X+1, the successor of the Moto X that is believed to be upcoming flagship smartphone of the firm, notorious Twitter leakster @evleaks has shared the press render of the handset. The leak is claimed to be a gift to mark his confirmation of retirement that was announced lately.

The press render of the Moto X+1 features the Verizon branding and it shows two different versions of the handset – one in black and the other with a wooden back cover. The design is similar to what we have already seen by means of earlier leaks and it is similar to that of its predecessor – Moto X except for the addition of stereo speakers at the front.

The camera arrangement at the rear also appears to be different with something like a dual setup including two small flash units one on either side of the camera sensor. This dual LED flash setup will replace the conventional single LED flash that is onboard the previous generation models and makes the handset on par with the other high-end models that are launched these days.

Going by the previous reports, the Moto X+1 is likely to run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system is said to house a 5.2 inch FHD display and use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a 2.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 330 graphics engine.

Also, the device is claimed to feature 16 GB of internal storage space that can be presumably expanded and pack in a 13 MP primary snapper along with 4K video recording and 2 MP front-facing camera for video calling. We will get to know more details regarding the Moto X+1 in a couple of weeks when the handset is unveiled officially.
