Gionee India has revealed the next iteration in its Phablet GPad Series – The Gpad G5, with Hexa Core chipset priced at 14,999 INR. Chinese manufacturer has shifted towards a cheaper price range, as compared to Gpad G4 launched in Feburary, quite understandably so.
The IPS LCD display is 5.5 Inches in size with 720p HD resolution amounting to 267 pixels per inches, protected by DragonTrail Glass. Gionee Gpad G5 employs 1.5 GHz MT6591 Mediatek Hexa core chipset with Mali 450 GPU which should give it enough power to carry out day to day tasks smoothly.
Also on board is 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage which can be expanded by 32 GB using MicroSD card support. Imaging hardware includes 8 MP AF rear shooter with LED flash and a 2 MP front facing camera as well. The rear camera can record HD videos at 60 fps.
Gionee has become quite adept at limiting thickness and the Gpad G5 follows tradition at 7.9 mm thin design. The slim casing houses a 2400 mAh battery which can deliver up to 288 hours of standby time and up to 15 hours of talk time on 2G.
Other features include Dual SIM, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio connectivity. At the software helm, you will find Android 4.4 Kitkat with Amigo UI on top. Amidst fierce competition, Gionee Gpad G5 qualifies as another run of the mill device, but there is a lot to like
“I am delighted to present our consumers with our latest product, the Gionee Gpad G5.
