To receive the update, you will have to reboot the smartphone. The update will continue rolling out over the week. Users will be progressing from Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and will avail all standard kitkat features.

Official change log hasn’t been announced yet, but standard kitkat features like immersive mode, Cloud printing support, new dialer app and UI changes will be available after the update. Since Android Kitkat is more efficient, users can expect improved performance as well.

New models of Canvas 2 Colors are already selling with Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box. Reportedly the new variant is also selling with 8 GB internal storage, which will definitely be an advantage in todays market.

  1. is this update occupy extra space internally or it will delete previous version and takes up that space?????
Many people are saying that update is corrupt and it makes their phone laggy.
There is no smart gesture option in settings after update.
    Is that true????
    Plz reply..

  2. hi guys can anyone advice me how to update my colors 2 cause when i try to update my phone it tells me like “file size too large connect to wifi ” wherein i try it over 3G connection…there is no service centre nearby to my place….plz reply at the earliest…thank you

  3. Just upgraded my A120 to to KitKat…was really disappointed and depressed when I came to know that the tacky and colorful UI which was there in JellyBean 4.2.2 is missing

The current KitKat UI is dull, boring and a big big letdown. The awesome customization that Micromax had done in JellyBean 4.2.2 is very much missed.

Certain features like smart gesture, proximity sensor and the very useful music player interface is all missing in the KitKat

Micromax should have maintained the same look and feel for the KitKat ROM stock also. The only plus point is there seems to be a slight improvement in performance, otherwise I would not recommend upgrading to KitKat

Seriously considering downgrading back to JellyBean L
