Lenovo has launched A536, its low cost quad core Kitkat smartphone in India priced at 8,999 INR. Lately we have been seeing several budget quad cores + Kitkat devices, let’s see if Lenovo A536 is any different.
The display is 5 inches in size with FWVGA 854 x 480 pixels spread across it. The two point multi touch display isn’t the sharpest one that you can buy in this price range but is expected to be fairly usable.
Lenovo is using 1.3 GHz MT6582 low cost quad core chipset here coupled with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. MicroSD storage up to 32 GB is also an option. The chipset is again very standard one these days, but its no slouch either.
Imaging hardware includes 5 MP auto focus camera at the rear and a 2 MP front facing camera. Battery capacity is 2000 mAh and Lenovo claims 12.5 days of standby time and up to 12 hours of 3G talk time which sounds good enough if true. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, FM, AGPS 3G, Dual SIM and WiFi.
Lenovo’s DOit apps will come pre installed on the device. It will retail in black and White colors for a price of 8,999 INR in India starting today. Lenovo A536 looks like another run of the mill device with quad core chipset, 1 GB RAM and Android Kitkat. It will compete against the likes of ZTE V5, Asus Zenfone 5 and Lava Iris X5 in India.
