Today, Sony will be announcing a slew of devices at the soon to commence IFA 2014 tech show in Berlin. Few devices that the entire tech world is eagerly waiting to launch are the Xperia E3, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and Xperia Z3 Compact. Now, a new device appears to join this fleet of the smartphones and tablets and it is the ILCE-QX1 E-mount camera.
This new E-mount camera will be adding to the lineup of lens-style cameras including QX-10 and QX-100, but unlike these models, the QX1 will not have a fixed lens. Well, the camera will come with interchangeable lens and consumers can choose the lenses that can be used with the device.
Other notable features of the E-mount module include APS-C sensor and an in-built flash for better output. Besides the leak of this camera module, Sony is in the headlines for yet another leak. Of the aforementioned models, the Xperia Z3 is the highly anticipated one as it will be the flagship smartphone.
Prior to its launch, the complete specifications of Xperia Z3 have been leaked online and going by the same, the handset will arrive with a 5.2 inch FHD display packing 1920×1080 pixel resolutions. This will be a TRILUMINOS and X-Reality panel like the other Sony smartphones.
Also, the leak suggests that the device will feature the IP55/IP58 certifications for dust and water resistance. Under the hood, it will incorporate a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. Like the other major smartphones from Sony, the Xperia Z3 will feature a 20 MP primary camera coupled with a 2 MP front-facer. Other goodies are claimed to be 16 GB of internal storage capacity with expandable storage support, LTE, NFC and a 3,100 mAh battery with battery STAMINA mode.
