Lenovo Vibe Z2 Selfie Phone with 8 MP Front Camera Announced

Today, Lenovo has unleashed two smartphones at the IFA 2014 tech show – Vibe X2 and Vibe Z2. The latter is a stylish smartphone that is thin with brushed metal unibody design and a good camera set for clicking gorgeous selfies. The Vibe Z2 is priced at $429 and it is claimed to be made available initially in China starting from October. Later, the handset will be launched in other regions such as Europe, Asia Pacific and Middle East where Lenovo currently sells smartphones.

The Lenovo Vibe Z2 is touted as a selfie phone with an 8 MP front facing fixed focus snapper with anti-distortion lens to click stunning selfies without any distortion. At the back of the handset, there is a 13 MP primary shooter coupled with auto focus, BSI sensor, LED flash and OIS.

Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat, the smartphone features dual SIM functionality. It includes a 5.5 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels that has a brightness of 600 nit. A quad-core 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon processor ticking at 1.2 GHz clock speed operates under the hood of the Vibe Z2 paired alongside 2 GB of RAM. The 64 bit architecture can definitely benefit from the Android L version that supports high performance 64 bit computing.

Connectivity features in the Vibe Z2 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro USB and there is a 3,000 mAh battery to fuel the device. The smartphone comes in a range of color variants including White, Gold and Titanium and packs in 32 GB of native storage support that cannot be expanded externally as there is no micro SD card slot.
