India based tech maker Spice has partnered with Flipkart to sell its select flagship smartphones exclusively via the e-commerce giant. It is claimed that some flagship products will be made available starting from mid-September and that this new online launch pad would contribute to 100,000 smartphone in the initial days.
Spice appears to have identified those primary products that it wants to launch via Flipkart and it is looking forward to open an exclusive online on the marketplace. This way, there will be a dedicated store on the online portal for the Spice products. The vendor appears to be aiming to grab over 10 percent of the smartphone market share and by joining hands with Flipkart that is a well established e-commerce platform Spice could become a valuable player in the market.
Lately, Spice launched its first Firefox OS based smartphone dubbed Spice Fire One Mi – FX1 for Rs 2,299. This handset was launched exclusively via Snapdeal initially and was later made available via the retail stores and Spice HotSpot stores.
