Apart from the mid ranger Radeon R9 285, AMD has also launched two of its high end graphic cards – the FirePro W8100 and FirePro W9100 in India. These Graphic cards have been built for extreme performance suited for professional video editors, Graphic designer amongst others.
The W8100 features 8 GB ultra fast GDDR5 Memory to support 4K Computer aided designs which are trending in workplaces these days. The details will benefit 3D and 2D applications alike.
“With an increase in availability and accessibility of 4K displays, there has been a rise in the applications demanding increased memory support while pushing the limits of real-time 4K video production and rendering,” said Raja Koduri, Corporate Vice President, Visual Computing, AMD.
The FirePro W9100 on the other hand sports 16 GB of ultra fast GDDR5 memory and allows multitasking across up to 6 4k displays, load massive assemblies and data sets to manipulate them, or edit, color-correct and layer in multiple effects to 4K video projects, all in real-time. The FirePro W8100 has been priced at $4500 or 2,75,000 INR

AMD FirePro W8100 and W9100 definitely put AMD in a good place as far as professional computing is concerned. AMD is in talks with several partners in India to adapt this new technology.
