Sony has retained most of the photography innovations that it adopted with its previous generation models. The Xperia Z3 comes equipped with a 20.7 MP sensor at its back that is teamed up with LED flash, auto focus, HDR and panorama shooting modes and up to 2160p video recording ability. Also, there is a 2.2 MP front-facing selfie camera onboard the device that can make video calls at FHD 1080p quality. With a wide angle lens, the smartphone can capture wider shots than before.

This screen is topped with a scratch proof glass coating and it has a brightness level of 600 nits that will render it readable even under direct sunlight.

The Xperia Z3 is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat platform and it has usual connectivity features. Sony has given the IP68 water and dust resistant certificate to this smartphone and the PS4 Remote Play feature to let users to stream PS4 games and play them using the Xperia Z3.
