Micromax has launched an entry level smartphone, Micromax Canvas Bolt A064 in India priced at 3,278 INR. The handset meant for first time Android users runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat powered by dual core Chipset.
The display is standard 3.5 inches in size with 480 x 320 pixel resolution (165 ppi), while the dual core MT6571 SoC is aided by 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage out of which around 2 GB will be available at users end. This will limit your Android experience but you can find some solace in 32 GB MicroSD card expansion.
Micromax has also provided with 2 MP Rear/ VGA Front fixed focus cameras for basic photography. There is no 3G Connectivity, but only 2G, and this shouldn’t be a deal breaker considering the target audience.
The phone sports a perforated rear case while other features include AGPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and Dual SIM connectivity. The 1400 mAh battery will last for 5 hours of talk time and up to 150 hours of Standby time according to official claims.
Considering the price range, Micromax Canvas Bolt A064 has a decent chipset and software. It is meant for those switching from feature phones to Android platform without spending much.
