Samsung is yet to unveil the Galaxy Core Prime smartphone, but the device has been spotted on the e-commerce website Flipkart carrying a price tag of Rs 8,499 and with the status “This product is permanently discontinued”. As of now, there is no official word regarding the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime, but we expect the firm to announce it soon.
Initially, spotted by GSMArena, this new Samsung Galaxy Core Prime handset was also listed at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory website in three variants – SM-G3606, SM- G3608 and SM-G3609. The device is claimed to be a dual SIM model with support for LTE connectivity as well.
Talking of specifications, the Flipkart listing reveals that the Galaxy Core Prime will be a single SIM device flaunting a 4.5 inch WVGA PLS display with 480×800 pixel resolution. It employs a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and is fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
There is 8 GB of inbuilt storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 64 GB using a micro SD card. With 1 GB of RAM, the Galaxy Core Prime claimed to have a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front facing selfie camera. There is a 2,000 mAh battery onboard to render a decent backup to the smartphone.
