As octa core devices are getting cheaper, almost all the device makers are jumping on to the wagon. Also, as the number of such offerings is increasing, their average price is taking a plunge. The latest octa core device which has just hit the market is iBerry Auxus Aura A1 carrying a price tag of Rs 9,990 for a limited time. Let’s take a look at the quick review of this device below.

iberry auxus aura a1

Camera and Internal Storage

The iBerry Auxus Aura A1 is given a 13 MP snapper at the rear with a LED flash for enhanced photography and support for recording FHD 1080p videos. The handset also carries a front facing 8 MP selfie snapper onboard for clicking gorgeous selfies and video conferencing as well. While we cannot assure a picture quality of a high end 13MP snapper as in the premium offerings in the market, this one is believed to render a decent performance in its class.

The internal storage capacity of the smartphone stands at 8 GB out of which we expect about 6 GB to be user accessible. This can be expanded further with the help of a micro SD card by another 64 GB and we have no complaints whatsoever in this regard.

Processor and Battery

A 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU is what you can see under the hood of the iBerry Auxus Aura A1 and they make the device a pretty capable performer. Also, there is a moderate 1 GB RAM to provide a fluidic experience with smooth multi-tasking.

Keeping things juiced up in the iBerry smartphone is a 2,800 mAh battery which we think is pretty good for a device in this price range and it should be capable of pumping acceptable backup under moderate usage.

Display and Features

The iBerry Auxus Aura A1 comes with a 5 inch fully laminated OGS display unit with a screen resolution of 960×540 pixels. Though this is standard, the OGS panel will make it more responsive and render better quality for the pricing the phone asks. Also, there is Corning Gorilla Glass coating onboard.

It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat platform and packs usual connectivity features such as 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS and dual SIM.

Comparison

This phone will compete against phones like Wickedleak Wammy Neo Youth, Micromax Canvas Nitro A310, Xolo 8X 1000 and other affordable octa-core smartphones.

    • Everything is good except the battery backup. for calls, mails, facebook etc is ok but for while playing games the battery goes down

    • Worst company, worst product & services…………

Guys please be aware of this fraud company. This company lures customers by showing great specs but half of them are false. I purchased their Auxus Neuclea N1, just like many of you based on the specs/price preposition. Let me tell you I am still paying for that.

With a few days of using this phone there appeared many issues. I logged a ticket in their support portal (ticket #634469) on 16th June 14. Its been 4.5 months I am still to get any timelines. Every time they say to wait for 5-6 working days and thats how its close to 5 months and I have no clarity if I am ever going to get my phone back. Multiple emails, calls, followups all in vain.

Last words, please don’t make mistake like me. Price/specs is not the only thing but the quality matters more.

  1. I am using iberry Auxus Aura A1 mobile for last 3 days. Disappointing camera. Good performance.

    Pros:

    1) Clear and bright display.

    2) Slim and moderate weight

    3) Lithium polymer battery

    4) Accessories like full ear headset, 2 screen guards, 2 covers (flip and back) is added attraction.

    5) Full ear headset has good quality sound. I felt theater effect.

    6) Played maximum graphics games. All these plays excellent.(FLCombat2,RealRaceing3,3d racing etc). Moderate heating while playing

    7) Red color looks like dark orange (Android kitkat logo )

    Cons:

    1) Back Camera is not 13MP. Image quality is less than 3MP.

    2) SAR value not found.

    3) Front camera looks normal 2mp camera image or less.

    4) Charger cable or data cable is not working.

    5) In ear headset is worst quality can be worth Rs:50/- only.

    6) Battery drains fast.

    7) Sound muffles when using Skype and one need to shout at mike in bottom of phone.

  2. Worst company, worst product & services…………

Hope this will save some one’s money, time, energy and most importantly, frustration.

  3. I am using auxus aura a1 since 15 days. I bought it 8600 rs. Till now very satisfied with this phone. Despite having low resolution I never felt it. Excellent performance. Android is stock so no additional apps come along. Very good battery life and it gets charged from laptop usb pretty fast. It came with two screen protector, two covers and a earphone (one of the cover is very good quality). front and back cameras are not so impressive in low light conditios.
With this price tag I think this is an excellent buy. As iberry promised, waiting for android lollipop upgrade.

  4. Auxus Aura A1 smart phone is utter waste waste waste product, eBay started ruining their customer’s and seller of this crap…No response from eBay r seller when I contacted them… 100% fraud. Don’t buy any product , this is my sincere advice πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™
Dont buy any Auxus phones. They attract by their specification, but Quality is 0%.

  5. This is a very very unexpected features phone as company claiming.I am very dissatisfied from following features : 1. Camera Quality:- Company Claiming Primary camera of 13 MP & Secondary is 8 MP but as i already using Micromax Phone its 8 MP & 2 MP camera giving far better quality then Auxus aura 1 2. Processor :- When i typing any thing it shows after 4-5 digit i type so its not expecting from Octa core processor phone. 3. Battary backup : – Again its a disappointing feature of 2800 MAH Battary. Its got empty in 4-5 hrs. even i closed all apps & internet. Its very bad phone in this price, i m feeling dumped by purchasing this product on EBAY

  6. its really worst product, just after using of one month now incoming voice not audible and there is no local service center for reparing, while i discuss with the company they said to send the handset to chennai for repairing in my own cost and it will take one month for repairing and return.

Product quality also very bad. so request you friends , dont buy this cheap product and dont waste your money.
    Regards,
    Deepak
