Mobile payment has been a distant dream for some time now and looks like Apple will be making it a mainstream thing with Apple Pay. The company has partnered with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, 500 banks and all 2,20,000 major retailers nationwide in USA.
Apple will be rolling out Apple Pay on Monday! “It’s easy, it’s secure and yes, it’s a private way to pay for things," Cook said on Thursday. "We think that it is going to be profound."
Apple Pay works on NFC chips which have been added in New iPhones 6 and 6 Plus and most probably in iPad Air 2 coming up. You can simply buy things with a single touch, no need for entering address or any other detail.
Apple also announced that Apple Watch will arrive in early 2015 and The company will roll out WatchKit for third party developers starting next month. WatchKit will help developers make apps compatible with Glance screen from the day one. Starting next year developers will be able to make native apps for their cars.
