Besides OPPO N3, OPPO has also launched OPPO R5 which craps all over Gionee party by being the slimmest phone in the world with 4.85 mm thickness. This is even slimmer than what upcoming Gionee Elife S5.1 is rumoured to be.
The display is 5.2 inches in sizes and flaunts 1080p full HD resolution amounting to 423 pixels per inches. This sharp display is an AMOLED panel, which isn’t surprising as AMOLED panels are slimmer compared to IPS LCD as a backlight isn’t required.
OPPO R5 will be powered by 64 bit Snapdragon 615 octa core based on big.LITTLE configuration. There are 2 clusters of 4 cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and 1 GHz respectively. It’s the same chipset which we saw in Desire 820. The chipset will be aided by 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage
Slims size means you can’t expect a capacious battery, but OPPO has managed to squeeze in 2000 mAh unit and the best part is that it supports VOOC mini rapid charging. The rear camera has a 13 MP Sony IMX214 sensor with Schneider lens and a 5 MP front unit is also present for video calling.
