After being listed on Flipkart without a price tag, the Google Nexus 6 has finally made its way into the Indian Play Store. The listing reveals that the Motorola made smartphone is priced at Rs 44,000 and Rs 49,000 for the 32 GB and 64 GB variants respectively. Though it appears to be priced on the higher side, it is appropriate with the pricing of the smartphone in the US and European markets.
Though the pricing is revealed, the listing still claims ‘Coming Soon’. Google announced that the device will be releasing in 28 countries across the globe including India by the end of year, hence we can expect the Nexus 6 to go on sale in the country in December.
Also, the Nexus 6 packs high end specifications for its pricing that will make it a direct challenger to the other premium offerings in the smartphone market. The device flaunts a massive 5.96 inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels that will translate to a pixel density of 493 pixels per inch. It houses a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under its hood that is clocked at 2.7 GHz paired with Adreno 420 graphics unit and 3 GB of RAM.
Imaging hardware of the Nexus 6 comprises of a 13 MP primary snapper that is teamed up with optical image stabilization and HDR+ shooting mode. Also, there is a 2 MP front facing secondary camera for selfies and video conferencing. The front the device also houses dual front facing stereo speakers to enhance the sound experience.
Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the device comes in two color options – Midnight Blue and Cloud White and is juiced up by a 3,220 mAh battery that is rated to provide a day of backup without any charging. The Material Design of the platform is teamed up with features such as a responsive UI, battery saver mode, 64 bit processing support and more.
