Lava has upgraded the Iris X1 and Iris X5 smartphones with FOTA updates in order to enhance the user experience. The update is claimed to have brought in bug fixes, a fix for the restart issue witnessed by some users and performance enhancements.
Some users of the aforementioned smartphone might have received the notification for the FOTA updates. If you have not got the notification, you can always head on to Settings -> About Device -> Check for Updates to know if there is an update.
To update the smartphones, it is recommended to use Wi-Fi or 3G and to charge the battery over 75 percent. Though there would not be any harm to the data stored on the device, it is a wise move to backup the data. Moreover, Lava has stressed on the latter as they recommend a factory reset after installing the new update.
The Iris X5 is a selfie focused smartphones as it boasts of a 5 MP selfie snapper with 4 element 84 degree wide angle lens and LED flash support for gorgeous selfies under low light.
