Spice has introduced two new smartphones Stellar 517 and Stellar 470 both priced at 7,999 INR. Both handsets have several similarities but yet lie in different classes. Stellar 517 has a capacious 3000 mAh battery, while Stellar 470 has a sharper display.
Both handsets are powered by MT6582 quad core chipset ticking at 1.3 GHz. Chipset also includes 1 GB RAM and 8 GB native storage which can be further expanded by another 32 GB using MicroSD support.
Stellar 517 features a 5 inch display with FWVGA 854X 480 pixels spread across it. There is an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, 2 MP front selfie camera, Dual SIM, Android 4.4 Kitkat and a 3000 mAh battery. Other features include 3G HSPA+,WiFi 802.11 b/g/n,Bluetooth and GPS.
Stellar 470 on the other hand comes with 4.7 Inch display with better qHD 960 x 540 resolution. Imaging hardware remains same with 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, 3.2 MP front camera, dual SIM and a 1500 mAh battery.
Both smartphones appear to be mediocre specced budget android devices which don’t bring anything new to the table. Other option in the same price range include Huawei Honor Holly, Micromax Canvas A1 etc.
