Panasonic has launched another smartphone in its premium Eluga series, the Eluga S priced at 11,190 INR. Eluga S is a basic MediaTek Octa Core smartphone with standard hardware and a faux stitched leather back cover.
The handset is quite slim at 7.9 mm thickness and is also fairly light, tipping the scale at 135 grams. The display is IPS LCD panel 5 inches in size with reasonable 720P HD resolution. Processing grunt is provided by 8 cortex A7 cores humming at 1.4 GHz as part of MT6592M true octa core chipset, aided by 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage.
Software is Android 4.4 Kitkat with several customization options including the new Blink Play feature which allows you to capture selfies from the 5 MP front camera by just blinking your eyes, with an automatic 3 second countdown.
For primary photography there is an 8 MP AF rear camera with LED flash capable of full HD 1080p resolution. Battery capacity is 2100 mAh. Other features include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Dual SIM Eluga S will be available starting from third week of November exclusively on snapdeal.
