The teaser shows a photo of the device that appears to be something like an Apple TV or a streaming set top box. It is widely speculated that this device could be a Nokia set top device that runs on Android platform similar to the Nexus Player that was recently announced by Google.

Nokia had talked about its interest to license the brand to new third party hardware devices tipping that it aims to build new and innovative devices post the acquisition by Microsoft. Nokia cannot put its brand on smartphones till the end of 2016, but the vendor appears to be looking to expand in other areas.

As teased, there will be an interesting launch from Nokia later today and it would be great to see what Nokia has to roll up its sleeve.
