Samsung Galaxy Star Pro and Galaxy S3 Neo that were launched for Rs 6,750 and Rs 25,499 have received price drops and they will be retailing for Rs 5,199 and Rs 17,590 respectively. The details regarding the price drop were not disclosed by Samsung till now, but the entrusted retailer, @MaheshTelecom revealed them via Twitter.
To refresh on specifications, the Galaxy Star Pro runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is given a 4 inch WVGA display. It makes use of a 1 GHz Cortex A5 processor paired with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of inbuilt storage capacity that can be expanded up to 32 GB via a micro SD card. There is a 2 MP rear camera and a 1,500 mAh battery in the device that can deliver up to 15 hours of talk time and up to 370 hours of standby time.
On the other hand, Galaxy S3 Neo features a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display and is incorporated with a 1.2 GHz quad core processor paired with 1.5 GB of RAM. The handset bundles 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB using a micro SD card. Other aspects of the smartphone include an 8 MP rear camera, a 1.9 MP front camera and a 2,100mAh battery that is rated to provide 14 hours of talk time.
Lately Samsung slashed the prices of Galaxy Grand Neo and Galaxy Grand 2. Also, there were reports that the pricing of Galaxy Note 3 Neo was dropped. It is not new for Samsung to slash the price of its offerings while it is planning to introduce new models into the market.
